FAQs
What should I bring?
Before your hike, we will provide you with a kitlist suitable for your walk. In general though, you’ll need a backpack with food/snacks, waterproof jacket, extra layers (in case you get cold!), torch, gloves and hat. Be sure to bring enough water to keep you hydrated throughout the walk. I usually recommend bringing 1-2 litres.
What about food or snacks?
Bring food that will fuel you while you walk. Usually, I recommend bringing snack bars (cereal bars, flapjacks), sausage rolls/sandwiches, sweets, and nuts. High carbohydrate snacks, paired with high protein snacks will keep you fueled throughout. Personally, I like to snack on crisp-coated nuts, cliff bars, and fruit pastilles, but everyone works differently.
What information do you need from me?
When you sign up for the hike, you’ll be sent a form to fill in with your personal details. These details will include any allergies, dietary requirements or health issues that we will need to know about. This information is essential in case of emergency. All personal data will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
Can I bring my dog?
All our walks are dog friendly unless it specifically says so in the walk description. Dogs must be kept on a lead while on the walk, and you’ll need to add treats, poo bags, and additional water for your dog for the walk.
Will we stop along the way?
All walks have appropriate stops planned in, but we will always go with the feeling of the group at the time. If more or less stops are needed, we will adapt.
